Terms and Conditions

1. Your spa will be filled with cold water and will take at least 24 hours to reach the recommended temperature of approximately 37ºC. If you have a combination boiler you could have it filled with hot water so it is ready to use when filled. To change the temperature adjust using the controls on the pump unit.

2. When using the spa, remove lid and store carefully. Enter the water with care making sure it is not too hot (test first). NO JUMPING, BOMBING, GYMANSTICS, HEAVY PETTING etc.

3. When not using the spa always replace the lid to retain heat.

4. The spa will maintain the set temperature by itself, although during periods of heavy use or when the lid is removed for an extended period there will be a fall in temperature. Staying out of the spa and replacing the lid will allow the water temperature to rise to the desired level.

5. Over filling the spa will cause it to overflow. Each person entering the spa will raise the water level by 5 – 7 cm. When the bubbles/ jets are activated the water level again rises by a similar amount.

6. Always leave the spa plugged in and switched on in order for the filtration/ heating systems to work.

7. Please do not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages when using the spa.

8. Please do not use any electrical items (including mobile phones) within five feet of the spa.

9. Children must be over ten years of age and accompanied by an adult at all times when using the spa.

10. At 37.5ºC or above you should not spend more than 15 minutes in the spa.

11. If you are pregnant or have a medical condition please check with your doctor before using the spa.

12. Please lock the cover when the spa is not in use.

13. It is essential that everyone using the spa showers before use, and no foreign bodies (such as grass) are introduced to the water. Your spa will perform better if kept clean and therefore more enjoyable to use.

14. Our spas are designed for 4-6 persons. Overloading the spa can cause damage for which you will be liable.

15. Chemicals will need to be added. We will go through this with you verbally upon delivery and will leave you with information regarding application, handling, storage etc.. If you have any questions just ask.

16. Tub King will not be responsible for any water damage that occurs from spas set up indoors.

Any damage incurred due to misuse or not following the above recommendations must be paid in full.

To ensure you get the best experience from your spa we advise that you follow the following daily instructions for the duration of your hire

Day 1

This is the day the hot tub is delivered. Our delivery driver will ensure that the Hot Tub is filled with either hot or cold water and that the initial water treatments are added. He will also run through safe operation of the unit

Daily during the hire

It is important to make sure that the water remains free of debris and dirt. Please use the net provided daily to keep the water as clean as possible. It is also advisable to ensure that no grass is transferred from people feet into the tub.

Day 4 of the hire (7 day hire only)

You will also be supplied with additional chemical tablets to use with Bromine float. The driver will insert two tablets into the float during the initial setup and the additional tablets are to be placed into the float on day 4 or when the initial tablets have dissolved.  Please ensure that you remove the float when the tub is in use and place it back in the tub afterwards.

Filter

If your spa is supplied with a filter please ensure this remains clean at all times. The driver will show you how to remove the filter. It can be cleaned under a tap to remove dirt and ensure a free flow of water through the Hot Tubs heater and filtration system. A dirty filter can reduce water flow and this will make the water lose heat.

General Care

Please only use the Hot Tub as recommended. It is your responsibility to maintain the quality of the water for the duration of the hire. It is also your responsibility to ensure that the Hot Tub is collected in the same condition as it was delivered. Any damages must be paid for in full upon collection.

Day of collection

Please ensure that the tub is still plugged into the power and running as normal for our driver to inspect it upon collection. The driver must be able to test the temperature of the water and the functionality of the tub. If the Tub has been unplugged or if the water has been emptied we reserve the right to retain your deposit until the Tub has been tested and proven to be problem free.

Anyone using one of our spas should read this information and the operating and safety instructions.
